Adolescent Medicine Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics Clinic (Evergreen Park & Aurora)

Overview The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), part of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance, provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care through evidence‑based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes. Where You Will Work Advocate Medical Group (AMG) is part of Advocate Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems with more than 350 locations across Illinois and Wisconsin. AMG offers primary care, medical and surgical care, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, and more. The RN will work at the Aurora and Evergreen Park clinics, providing adolescent and young adult care. Qualifications Completion of an accredited nursing program Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of RN experience preferred Responsibilities Clinic schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; two days at Aurora Clinic, three days at Evergreen Park Clinic Deliver and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures Apply evidence‑based practice and clinical decision‑making, communicating compassion and skill to create the safest patient environment and best experience across the continuum Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday Must be able to lift and support 35 pounds and push/pull with 30 pounds of force; perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person present Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures Must maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de‑escalation, if needed May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable disease; protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions Physical ability testing may be required Additional department‑specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader Benefits Competitive base compensation within the paid pay range Premium pay such as shift, on‑call, and other pay based on job scope Incentive pay for select positions Opportunity for annual increases based on performance Paid Time Off programs Health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, short‑ and long‑term disability Flexible Spending Accounts for eligible health and dependent care expenses Family benefits such as adoption assistance and paid parental leave Defined contribution retirement plans with employer match and other financial wellness programs Educational Assistance Program #J-18808-Ljbffr 125 Advocate Health and Hospitals Corporation
