Payroll Coordinator

Willory is partnering with an established mid-sized manufacturing company in North Canton, OH to hire a Payroll Coordinator.

The company specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing innovative and high-quality building façade solutions.

Position Overview:

As a Payroll Specialist/HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for the full payroll process and benefits administration for our employees. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with ability to meet strict deadlines, adherence to company policies, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll and prepare reporting for two companies.
• Process union payroll, expense reimbursements, and prepare monthly reports for union dues/fringes.
• Review timecard entries and resolve discrepancies.
• Onboard new hires, maintain employee personnel files, process terminations.
• Prepare benefit packages for new enrollees. Serve as liaison for benefit-related questions/issues.
• Perform benefit reconciliations to ensure accuracy with vendor billing
• Oversee Drug Free Workplace policies as they relate to pre-employment, injury and random testing
• Garnishment/child support maintenance and remittance
• Assist with the filing of payroll taxes, including year-end W-2 processing

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience
• Knowledge of employment policies and ability to apply/communicate those policies through HR and payroll
• Experience processing full “in-house” payroll
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Solid understanding/experience using Excel
• Proven ability to explain complex payroll and benefit topics
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Spanish/English bilingual is preferred, but not required
