Payroll Clerk
Location: Kidron, OH Area
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM | 40 hours/week; occasional Saturdays

Mancan is seeking a Payroll Clerk for a local tax service company. This position includes payroll processing, data entry, customer service, and general office support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers and confidential information. Strong computer and Microsoft Excel skills are required. Payroll, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, or tax experience is preferred, but training is available.

Responsibilities
Customer Service & Reception
Answer multi-line phones, greet customers, and assist with inquiries
Schedule appointments and direct questions to the appropriate team member
Provide professional customer service by phone and in person

Payroll & Data Entry
Enter and process payroll and financial information accurately
Review information for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies or missing information
Maintain accurate records and meet payroll deadlines

Tax & Financial
Pull and organize tax information for e-filing
Assist with Federal, State, local payroll withholding and Sales Tax payments
Post monthly income and expense reports
Maintain organized financial documentation

File & Office Support
Pull, organize, file, and return client files daily
Scan, copy, print, and organize documents
Assist with scheduling and other administrative duties
Maintain a professional and organized office
Maintain confidentiality of client and financial information

Requirements
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer use
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to learn new software and work independently and as part of a team
Dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines
Payroll, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, accounting, or tax experience preferred

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods
Ability to bend, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day
Ability to lift and move files, boxes, and office materials as needed
