Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.SUMMARYThe Final Assembly Technician performs final assembly and test functions on our Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS's). The role of Final Assembly Technician is a highly technical, hands-on role in assembling aircraft, support equipment, and ground station communications. Additionally, the Final Assembly Technician is key in supporting technical issues that arise with the support of Engineering.RESPONSIBILITIESFollows shop safety requirements and other relevant policiesCompletes production documentation to ensure accuracy and completenessAssembles UAV/UAS aircraft structures and subassemblies such as fuselages, wings, ground stations, and support kitsOperates precision measuring and test equipmentCommunicates challenges with leadership and engineeringMaintains a clean and orderly workstation and production environmentProvides recommendations for improvement to management and engineeringInspects UAV or UAV/UAS aircraft components per engineering and production documentation and checks for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear and tear to ensure airworthinessRecommends and perform replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection of returned aircraftSupports problem solving activities for technical issuesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma/GED3+ years of assembly of small complex mechanical and electrical systems using hand tools in a production environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and follow work instructions, engineering assembly drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and bills of materials.Comfortable working in a fast-paced performance driven environment where quality is criticalComputer (Windows PC) competency in word processing and spreadsheetsHigh attention to detail and ability to work in a team environmentTechnically minded solving problems with equipmentREDWIRE DEFENSE TECH BENEFITSMatching 401(k)Paid PTOPaid holidaysMedical, vision, and dental insuranceGroup Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityHSA and FSA OptionsCritical Care PlanAccident Care PlanCLEARANCE REQUIREMENTSThis position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"). Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment.
