Life Skills Instructor

Envisions
Envisions serves three individuals in their homes, doing family supported service and independent living services for these individuals with developmental disabilities. This position is for part time work (but could lead to full time work in the future if desired); the hours would be as follows: Monday 10am-2pm than work with second individual from 4pm-7pm
Tuesday 9am-3pm
Wednesday 3:30 or 4pm-7pm
Thursday 10am-2pm
Friday 9am-12pm These are all female individuals, so female staff are preferred by the families. Staff and the individual will work on learning skills and assisting these individuals to gain more independence. Helping two of the independent living individuals ensure they keep their apartments clean and assist with cleaning as needed. Help with grocery shopping and teaching the individuals how to grocery shop properly. You will also have time in you shifts throughout the week to go out to lunch or assist them with making a lunch in home. Fun activities in the community such as going to a movie, park, zoo, etc. for community integration. Also helping the individuals exercise by going for walks. The two day hours individual's live at the sheltering tree off of 72nd and 370 in Papillion. The one evening hour individual lives off of 72nd and Maple. She is provided with family supported living services by Envisions. She is legally blind, staff take her to the mall to work on her walking and movies sometimes on Tuesdays for a fun activity. All necessary training will be paid and done at our office off 80th and 370. Current staff that work with these individuals will also cross train with the new staff on weekly routines and organization. Pay starts at $20 an hour.
