Location: Savage, MN (onsite initially then open to hybrid)

About The Job:

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit a Product Marketing Engineer to join their team. Our client is an established, growing organization with a collaborative, engineering-focused environment and a strong commitment to innovation and quality.

This role blends technical expertise, content development, digital marketing, and product strategy. The Product Marketing Engineer will translate complex product capabilities into clear, useful messaging for engineers while helping shape market positioning, supporting customer conversations, and building toward broader product management responsibility.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across engineering, marketing, and product teams and wants to help strengthen the market presence of an established product line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape product messaging, value propositions, and competitive positioning for priority markets.
• Create technical content for engineering audiences, including application notes, white papers, case studies, datasheets, blog content, videos, and sales materials.
• Lead website content, search visibility, and digital content strategy to better reach engineers evaluating embedded-system solutions.
• Develop integration guides, product documentation, and other resources that support customers and developers.
• Build hands-on product knowledge by working with development kits, creating demonstrations, and explaining technical capabilities in practical terms.
• Partner with product management, engineering, and development teams on product requirements, market opportunities, and launch-related priorities.
• Conduct competitive research and identify potential applications, industries, and areas for product growth.
• Support technical sales discussions and represent the organization at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
• Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate research, drafting, and workflow execution while carefully validating technical accuracy before publication.
• Help expand the organization's professional and social media presence, including LinkedIn.

Required Skills:

• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Working knowledge of embedded systems, firmware or software programming, and non-volatile memory technologies such as USB, SD, EEPROM, or flash memory.
• Ability to create clear technical and marketing content for an engineering audience.
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting technical information through video, customer conversations, trade shows, or conferences.
• Interest in product strategy, customer needs, competitive positioning, and the reasons products succeed in the market.
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical, product, marketing, and sales functions.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for occasional customer meetings and industry events.

Preferred Experience:

• SEO, website content management, or digital content strategy.
• Video production or on-camera presentation.
• Embedded development platforms, development tools, or product demonstration systems.
• Customer-facing participation at trade shows, conferences, or technical events.
• Encryption concepts and their application within embedded systems.
