Consultant IT Audit Summer 2027 | Multiple Locations

Description & Requirements Today's thriving companies realize the necessity of managing business risk. As a Consultant on the IT Audit team, you will help clients identify and manage that risk and improve IT processes and controls. Key services performed by the IT Audit team include: System Organization Control (SOC) 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 attestation engagements and IT controls design and operating effectiveness assessments for financial audits. You will gain valuable experience and use your critical thinking abilities to help clients solve problems and apply your social skills to build rewarding business relationships. Alongside Forvis Mazars senior staff and management personnel, you will work with clients in a variety of industries as you develop your technical skills and strengthen the foundation on which you will build your career. How you will contribute: Demonstrating an understanding of IT controls associated with applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and reporting tools Performing IT general control audit procedures including walkthroughs and testing of IT general controls for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, cybersecurity, etc. Working with client personnel to gain an understanding of IT processes and controls, obtain audit evidence, and analyze testing results Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report Participating in client meetings alongside FORVIS partners and managers Providing a variety of non-assurance services to our clients including, but not limited to internal audit consulting, IT risk assessments, IT compliance reviews, cybersecurity assessments, technology consulting, threat and vulnerability testing, social engineering, business continuity planning, etc. Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and: Effective time management Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work well with a team as well as independently Problem-solving attitudeWillingness to take initiative Close attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines Solid technical accounting and IT knowledge Minimum Qualifications: Consultant positions in IT Audit require a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline Maintenance of a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 All accounting (or jobrelevant) coursework must be completed with a grade of C or above Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteMust have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person Ability to travel to client locations up to 20% Preferred Qualifications: Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or have CPA certification Eligibility to sit for the CISA exam or have CISA certification Applicants for positions with Forvis Mazars must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
