Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN License Certifications: Required certifications applicable to the position Must-Have: Experience with tracheostomies, endotracheal tubes, and medication drips Description: Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit. The unit handles patients with fresh tracheostomies, levophed, stable intubations, and mild sedation. Patients with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) are also managed here. This is a stepdown unit designation with a patient ratio of 3:1. The position requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed. Staffing is assessed every four hours, and travelers may be floated up to three times per shift. This is a union facility, and travelers float first.
