CNC Programmer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our industrial manufacturing team. In this role, you will read engineering drawings, interpret CAD models, and write efficient, precision G-code/M-code to machine high-spec metal and composite parts.

You’ll work closely with our engineering and machine shop teams to optimize cut times, ensure tight tolerances, and keep our production running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Programming & Setup: Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Catia V5, Mastercam, Fusion 360) for multi-axis mills and lathes.

• G-Code Optimization: Edit G-code and M-code manually at the machine control interface when needed to fine-tune operations.

• Tooling & Workholding: Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and design custom fixtures or workholding solutions for complex parts.

• Blueprint & Model Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) callouts, and 3D CAD models.

• Quality Inspection: Verify first-article parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM, height gauges) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances (e.g., $\pm 0.0005"$).

• Process Improvement: Continuously reduce cycle times, maximize tool life, and eliminate scrap or rework.

The essential functions of this role include:
