About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: WA License in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT Must-Have: - Must be able to work independently within a level 3 NICU autonomously. - Must have the skill and experience to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center. - Must be flexible in floating between departments. - Weekends required every other week. Description: This position involves working in a neonatal intensive care unit. The ideal candidate must be proficient in various respiratory therapy procedures. Candidates should have experience with patient ratios that are dependent on hospital acuity. Responsibilities include assisting in high-risk deliveries and providing ventilatory support. Experience with trauma care is preferred. Staff will be considered variable and the manager will strive to maintain a consistent schedule. Flexibility is essential as travelers may need to float to other units. The position involves working with a diverse patient population, including neonates and infants. The successful candidate will provide support for emergency interventions as needed. Proper identification of patient needs and interventions is critical. All staff must adhere to established protocols and safety regulations. A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development is expected.
