Radiology Technician

Fairfax, VA Pay From: $30 per hour MUST:

• 2+ years of experience as a Radiology Technician
• Minimum of one or two years of clinical experience
• ARRT required
• BLS required
• C-ARM Experience preferred

DUTIES:

• Prepare patients for radiology procedures
• Operate radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray images as directed by physicians
• Use image-Gently equipped X-Ray, which reduces the amount of radiation used on children
• Review specific procedure orders to determine materials/supplies that will be needed
• Set up and stocks procedure rooms and trays with needed
• Document patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the physician's review
• Sterilize and package surgical instruments
• Assist with inventory, ordering of supplies and re-stocking of supplies
• Administer medications specifically directed by the physician and performing accurate vital sign measurements and documentation
