About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to serve as a senior executive leader with a focus on philanthropic growth, enterprise business oversight, and strategic external engagement. The CAO will be responsible for leading a comprehensive revenue strategy that encompasses fundraising, grants, marketing, and mission-aligned enterprise initiatives. This role requires an innovative and relationship-driven executive who can thrive at the intersection of fund development, earned revenue, and organizational sustainability. Key responsibilities include leading the development and execution of a multi-year revenue growth strategy, overseeing all fundraising efforts, and ensuring that revenue-generating strategies align with the company's mission and long-term goals. The ideal candidate for the CAO position at the company will have a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of senior leadership experience in advancement, fundraising, enterprise development, or related areas. The role demands a proven track record in managing complex revenue portfolios and a strong business and financial acumen. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, an exceptional communicator, and a proven people leader with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. Responsibilities also include providing executive oversight of the company's enterprise and earned-income activities, establishing performance metrics, and promoting innovation across revenue-generating functions. The CAO will work closely with the Board to strengthen fundraising, enterprise growth, and organizational sustainability.
