Location: Montgomeryville, PA
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overview:
We're seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team focused on producing high-quality machined components.
This hands-on role is responsible for CAM programming, CNC setup, machining operations, fixture design, troubleshooting, and quality verification. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in CAM programming, blueprint reading, CNC machining, and process improvement while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Review work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations.
Develop and prove CNC programs using CAM software.
Program and set up CNC mills, including tool offsets, compensation, and machining parameters.
Design and build machining fixtures and workholding solutions.
Perform machine setups including chucks, collets, bushings, vises, tooling, and attachments.
Verify first-piece inspections and production quality requirements.
Monitor machining operations and make program adjustments as needed.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process-related issues.
Perform drilling, grooving, turning, facing, threading, knurling, and related machining operations.
Complete production documentation and quality sign-offs.
Perform preventative maintenance and basic equipment troubleshooting.
Maintain safe work practices and housekeeping standards.
Requirements:
5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience.
Expert-level CAM programming experience (software platform flexible).
Strong CNC mill setup and operation experience.
Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
Experience creating machining fixtures and workholding solutions.
Strong understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
Strong mathematical skills including geometry and trigonometry.
Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
All education levels considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Multi-axis CNC machining experience.
Experience with process improvement initiatives.
Experience in precision manufacturing environments.
Experience programming and machining complex components.
Strong quality and inspection background.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Rate: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
