Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical history
• Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical issues through interpretation of imaging and lab results
• Work in tandem with surgeons to develop and implement patient-tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide support during operations, which includes preparing the operating environment, ensuring patient placements, and efficiently passing surgical instruments
• Offer exceptional pre- and post-operative care, covering medication management, wound treatment, discharge planning, and patient education

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgery is highly desirable

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification are mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
