The client is a multifamily developer/builder with a strong pipeline of large‑scale, Class‑A garden‑style apartment communities across the Southeast. The business focuses on 200-350 unit projects with full amenity packages, leveraging deep expertise in ground‑up development and construction. Their Carolinas division is expanding quickly, with multiple active projects and several new starts planned this year. They are known for hands‑on leadership, streamlined operations, and a collaborative culture across their regional offices.

Job Description

• LLead and manage the Project Managers and Estimators supporting all Carolinas projects
• Oversee active projects in Columbia, SC and Mint Hill (Charlotte), NC
• Support upcoming starts in Greenville, Fayetteville, and New Bern, NC
• Guide operational strategy as the division grows toward 6-8 starts per year
• Ensure project execution aligns with company standards for schedule, quality, and budget
• Work primarily from the Charlotte office with regular travel across NC and SC
• Serve as a hands‑on leader actively engaged in day‑to‑day project operations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Operations Manager should have:

• Experienced multifamily leader with a background managing PMs and Estimators
• Proven ability to oversee multiple large ground‑up projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Class‑A, garden‑style multifamily developments (200-350 units)
• Hands‑on, operational leadership style (not an EVP‑level polished executive)
• Comfortable with regular travel across North and South Carolina
