Head of Product

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Product based in the United States. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of civic technology, AI, and large-scale consumer product development. You will define and execute the product vision for a platform designed to strengthen democratic participation and unlock cross-partisan consensus at scale. The role blends 0→1 product creation with the challenge of scaling to millions of users across complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You will lead the translation of a highly ambitious civic mission into a simple, trusted, and engaging user experience. A core focus will be building an AI-native product organization that leverages modern tooling to accelerate learning, shipping, and iteration. You will partner closely with engineering, design, and research teams to ensure the product is both technically scalable and deeply user-centric. The environment is fast-moving, mission-driven, and built around urgency, intellectual rigor, and high ownership. Accountabilities Own the end-to-end product vision and strategy, translating a complex civic and AI-driven system into a clear roadmap that prioritizes impact and focus. Define what the product will and will not do, ensuring sequencing of initiatives aligns with both user value and policy outcomes. Lead the development of a 0→1 product experience, including onboarding, participation flows, deliberation systems, and how insights translate into actionable policy signals for decision-makers. Build and scale an AI-native product organization by embedding AI into discovery, design, experimentation, and delivery workflows across the team. Define and implement a robust product measurement framework, including success metrics, feedback loops, and data-driven decision systems to guide iteration and investment. Establish product development standards and culture, fostering speed, craft excellence, intellectual honesty, and strong user obsession across the organization. Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, data, and external stakeholders in politically and socially sensitive environments. Requirements 10+ years of product management experience in consumer-facing, product-led organizations, with a strong track record of leading 0→1 initiatives and scaling products to large user bases. You combine strategic vision with strong execution depth and can operate comfortably in ambiguous, high-stakes environments. Proven experience defining product direction from scratch, shipping MVPs, and iterating into product-market fit at scale. Strong product craft and design intuition, with a portfolio of shipped products that demonstrate thoughtful decision-making and attention to user experience detail. Demonstrated ability to lead and scale product teams, including setting high standards for execution and culture. Deep familiarity with AI-driven product development, including using modern AI tools to accelerate thinking, prototyping, and delivery. Systems thinking across technology, user behavior, and external constraints, with the ability to reason about second- and third-order effects. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, especially in multi-stakeholder or politically sensitive environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.
