We are seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator to join our team at Owens & Minor. The anticipated pay rate for this position is: $20/hr.

Available Shifts: (all shifts have mandatory OT)

Monday Friday, 11:00AM 7:30PM

Monday Friday, 12:00PM 8:30PM

Monday Friday, 3:00PM 11:30PM

Sunday, 9:00AM 5:30PM and Monday Thursday, 11:00AM 7:30PM, off Friday and Saturday

MUST HAVE MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE, which includes (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, stock picker/stand up forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.).

Job Description:

• Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, stock picker/stand up forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.)
• Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations.
• Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications.
• Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on-time within company standards.

Core Responsibilities:

Receiving

• Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack.
• Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology, documents variances.

Bulk picking

• Select products and quantities as directed by Vision Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places in totes or on a pallet.
• Assist on the dock with scanning and loading the freight using electric riding pallet jack or manually load carts.

Sortation

• Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.
• Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.

Loading

• Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
• Uses pallet jack to load pallets.

General requirements for all functions

• Follows general sequencing and process procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
• Places incoming merchandise into inventory.
• Conducts physical inventories as required.
• Counts and performs basic math calculations.
