The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line at Northwell Health's South Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced full-time Intensivist to join the team in the CVICU in Bay Shore, New York. South Shore University Hospital is a rapidly growing tertiary facility featuring advanced cardiothoracic and cardiology technologies. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to pre- and postoperative cardiothoracic patients, complex STEMI/NSTEMI, and advanced Heart Failure cases. Practice Info Located at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York CVICU is a brand new 18-bed ICU unit with an additional 4 Stepdown beds Primary dedicated to managing pre- and postoperative cardiothoracic patients, complex STEMI/NSTEMI and advanced Heart Failure Service line performs over 700 cardiac related surgeries per year from open and robotic procedures, transcatheter based therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI Compensation Salary commensurate with experience Competitive salary Benefits Competitive benefits package Academic appointment with The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience Shift & Schedule Full-time Qualifications Candidates must be fellowship trained Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery Candidates graduating from their sub-specialty training will also be considered depending upon CTICU experience during fellowship training Ideal candidate should carry exceptional inter-personal skills
