Packaging Associate
Location: Camarillo, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $17.00/hour
Job Summary
The Packaging Associate is responsible for supporting packaging line operations and performing general warehouse duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role helps ensure product quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to company procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow company guidelines for housekeeping, product protection, and personal hygiene
- Read and follow written instructions and standard operating procedures
- Remove finished products from conveyor lines and package according to specifications
- Palletize finished goods
- Load empty containers onto equipment, including unscramblers and infeed turntables
- Supply packaging materials to the production line
- Clear leftover components from packaging equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop as needed
- Clean windows, carts, and equipment
- Assist Quality Control with batch release processes
- Verify lot numbers and expiration dates with the QC team
- Break down boxes and properly manage disposal
- Assist other departments as needed
- Perform additional packaging-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Entry-level to intermediate experience; training provided
- Ability to read and follow instructions and procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment
Equipment Used
- Pallet jacks
- Carts
- Packaging line equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and pulling
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to maintain the required production pace of approximately 25–40 bottles per minute
- Comfortable wearing a full-face respirator when required
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Must follow all safety and cleanliness procedures
- Must maintain a professional and dependable work attitude
