This position serves as a flexible resource, providing consistent, high-quality service wherever needed. The Float Teller completes routine banking transactions, addresses customer inquiries, and helps build strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with all banking regulations.This role requires the ability and willingness to travel to all branch locations as assigned.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform routine teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, loan payments, and check cashingBalance and service ATMs and Teller Cash Dispensers/Recycling MachinesProcess bulk coin depositsComplete address changes and collect safe deposit box rental paymentsMaintain and balance a cash drawer daily, accurately accounting for all cash received and disbursedAccurately close out teller terminals at the end of each shiftEnsure compliance with all applicable banking laws, regulations, and internal policiesPromote positive customer interactions, build relationships, and participate in cross-selling bank products and servicesContribute to branch business objectives and individual sales and customer service goalsDemonstrate strong risk management practices, including adherence to fraud prevention and robbery proceduresProvide teller coverage at various branch locations as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredCash handling, customer service, and/or sales experience preferredPrior experience with financial institution software systems preferredKnowledge & AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimalsProficiency using calculators and computersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeWillingness and ability to travel to all branch locationsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong math and cash-handling skillsHigh level of integrity and trustworthinessStrong customer service orientationAbility to remain professional, composed, and detail-oriented under pressurePhysical RequirementsStanding, walking, and sitting for extended periodsLifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 poundsStooping, kneeling, crouching, and reachingHandling, grasping, and feelingTalking and hearingRepetitive motions and eye/hand/foot coordinationPhysical Strength Level: Light to Medium WorkWork EnvironmentOffice / branch banking environment
