North Tahoe Dental | Truckee, CA is growing and adding a Full-Time Dental Assistant to our team! We are willing to train motivated candidates and help them obtain the certifications needed to become a Dental Assistant.

Schedule

• Monday 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Tuesday 7:30am - 4:00pm
• Wednesday 7:30am - 4:00pm
• Thursday 7:30am - 3:00pm at Tahoe City location (optional)
• Friday 7:30am - 2:30 pm (alternating/optional)

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Direct patient care and support
• Clinical support for doctors and patients
• Sterilization and infection control procedures
• Dental lab work
• Taking dental radiographs (we can assist with certification)
• Assisting with treatment planning
• Administrative tasks during downtime
• Maintaining treatment rooms and supplies

No dental experience required-we will train the right candidate!

Compensation

$22-$28 per hour DOE


Pay increases available as certifications are obtained and skills advance.

Responsibilities

As part of our team you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):

• Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room.
• Assist the doctor in providing care to the patient.
• Be knowledgeable of existing and emerging technologies and clinical initiatives that impact the back-office experience.
• Actively monitor lab materials and supplies.
• Develop a relationship with the patient.
• Follow all OSHA/HIPAA guidelines.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms as needed.
• Take, expose, and mount high quality dental radiographs.
• Contribute to the team in achieving business objectives to accomplish goals.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
