Position InformationHiring Manager:Associate DirectorDepartment:Corporate DevelopmentDepartment OverviewThe Corporate Development Team (“CD”) is responsible for planning and executing strategic initiatives for the Firm with a focus on driving growth and profitability. The team collaborates with senior executives and business unit leaders to identify, assess and execute high-impact projects related to M&A, capital raising (debt and equity), partnerships and new product explorations.Position Responsibilities The Associate will contribute to high-impact growth initiatives within the Corporate Development Team by developing financial models and delivering analyses for senior leadership.Building and maintaining financial modelsPreparing presentations, analyses and recommendations for senior managementWorking with internal partners and external advisors (e.g., banks, accountants, consultants and lawyers) on transformational growth initiativesSupporting the planning and implementation of new lines of businesses and key transactionsBecoming an expert on Golub Capital and the alternative investment industry; gathering information related to market intelligence and industry trendsProviding leverage to the Corporate Development TeamCandidate RequirementsQualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required2+ years of investment banking or corporate development experience at a top-tier investment bank or buy-side firmStrong quantitative, financial modeling and analytical skills requiredFinancial services and / or asset management industry experience is strongly preferredInterest in corporate developmentHigh level of intellectual curiosity with a desire to develop and implement innovative solutions to sophisticated business challengesStrong project management skills and ability to multi-taskAdept at interacting with senior executives, department heads and external partnersDemonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of generated AI outputsEnthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work cultureCritical Competencies for SuccessOur Gold Standards define key behaviors and competencies across 4 dimensions: Leadership, Achieving Results, Personal Effectiveness and Thinking Critically. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
