Reach Operator

Manufacturing Factory Associates

Assembly Lead – Spanish/English for a client in Norristown, PA.  

PRIOR FOOD PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS

Reach Operator

1st shift position

Must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience

Previous warehouse experience a must

Will assist with day to day operations

Receiving, loading/unloading, repacking, moving and storing shipments

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus

Prior certifications preferred.

Pay Rate

$21.00 First Shift

$22.25 Second Shift

Manufacturing Factory Associates

The pay rate for

2nd shift $18.25 hour 2pm-10pm

Weekly Pay

Must be able to pass drug test and criminal background screening

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Previous culinary experience preferred but not required
• Basic math skills – accuracy and attention to detail are essential
• Certifications in warehouse/material handling equipment, specifically reach truck, electric jack, forklift, and scissor lift preferred but will train
• Must be able to comprehend and accurately follow basic instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. to shoulder height
• Must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling.
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
• Work environment includes slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes or odors

Assembly Lead

Second Shift - $20.00 Per Hour

Must be able to pass drug test and criminal background screening

Essential Duties

·        ● In the absence of the supervisor the lead should be able to run the day-to-day tasks of the department.

·        ● Keep work area of line clean, neat, safe, and organized continuously throughout the day.

·        ● Ensure an understanding of safety procedures as presented by your supervisor.

·        ● Be proficient in daily operational procedures of the equipment on the production line you supervise.

·        ● Be trained and knowledgeable regarding quality control expectations for raw materials and finished goods. Work directly with Assembly staff to ensure expectations are met.

·        ● Troubleshoot machines as needed to keep the line moving. Engage Process Engineer or Mechanic as needed to keep the line running. Communicate machinery problems or concerns to Supervisor.

·        ● Move materials and waste in and out of the line area by hand, cart, or pallet jack as needed to keep the line running smoothly. Ensure that empty pallets are in place to receive completed product and that they are placed efficiently on the assembly room floor.

Qualifications

·       3-5 years of production line experience, preferably in an assembly or manufacturing environment

·       LEAN, 5S, Continuous Flow, and Value Stream Mapping background a plus

·       Strong computer skills, with specific experience using Microsoft Office and Google Apps

·       Excellent communication and problem solving skills required

Physical Requirements

·       Able to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height

·       Must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, and seeing.

·       Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift.
