Special Education Teacher (High School Resource)
A school district in Fairland, Indiana is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time high school resource position for the school year.
Position Overview
Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Fairland, IN
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
School Assignment: 1 School
Setting: High School Resource Classroom
Caseload Model: Caseload
Indirect/Admin Time: Provided
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction and academic support to high school students with diverse learning needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement.
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and educational planning.
Qualifications
Active Indiana Special Education License required.
Mild Intervention Licensure required.
Experience working with high school students preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
