Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30)

Block scheduling requests approved based on unit need

MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 OF THE HOLIDAY BUNDLES (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD)

MDC is a smoke-free facility at all times with no designated smoking areas, including the parking lot

Must be able to sustain being on your feet for 80% of shift

No locals within 100 mile radius

Must be able to pass facility background check. No RQI Certs

MOAB certification is required, if the traveler does not already have the MOAB certification, they will receive the 4 hour de escalation course during their first week. If they do not pass; their contract may be up for cancellation

COVID Vaccine: optional - UNMH is required to report COVID vaccine numbers. Upload series or Aya declination

The facility capacity is approximately 1900 inmates, the average daily population fluctuates, currently daily average population is 1640. We have different areas, so it is hard to say how many patients are seen on average. The RN will provide patients with routine and emergency healthcare. The RN will conduct health assessments, make necessary referrals to providers, detoxification, dental, mental health professionals. The RN will be responsible for triaging and assessing new patients to the facility, conducting detox rounds per protocol

Special Requirements: Phlebotomy, Starting Ivs, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions

New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks A 6 month break is required for any travelers that have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached their one year mark, whichever comes first
