About the Position

• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Operate MRI scanners and related equipment, optimizing parameters to achieve high-quality diagnostic images.
• Review and evaluate images for quality assurance and accuracy before submission to radiologists.
• Maintain accurate patient and exam documentation in the hospital’s EMR and PACS systems.
• Adhere to all radiation safety and MRI-specific safety standards (including screening protocols for ferromagnetic materials).
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic troubleshooting or maintenance as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of MRI experience in a hospital or advanced imaging environment (academic or tertiary care preferred).
• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• Licensure/Certification:
• ARRT (R)(MR) certification (required).
• Florida State Radiologic Technologist License (required).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with MRI scanners (Siemens, GE, or Philips systems).
• Experience performing neuro, musculoskeletal, and body imaging.
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems (Epic experience preferred).
