About the Position

• Perform high-quality MRI scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Screen patients for safety and contraindications to MRI procedures.
• Position patients appropriately and operate MRI scanners to acquire diagnostic images.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure all imaging data and patient information are properly documented in the EMR.
• Adhere to safety standards related to magnetic fields and infection control.
• Provide clear instructions and support to patients to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and hospital regulations.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience in an acute care hospital or imaging center.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program.
• Licensure/Certification:
• ARRT (R)(MR) certification (required).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
• Florida State Radiologic Technologist License (required prior to start).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and imaging protocols.
• Experience operating MRI scanners (Siemens, GE, or Philips preferred).
• Familiarity with PACS and EMR systems.
