They should possess a comprehensive understanding of control systems, including PLCs, HMI technologies, and other control hardware and be capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring projects to fruition. In this position, you will be tasked with developing control schemes, conducting system testing and validation, troubleshooting and resolving system issues, and continuously improving existing processes. We value professionals who are adaptable, continuously seek improvement, and are ready to embrace the rapid technological advancements in automation and control technologies.Controls Engineer Responsibilities & DutiesDesign and develop control systems for large scale door systemsConduct system testing and validation proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirementsTroubleshoot and optimize existing control systemsPrepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and operation manualsEnsure compliance with UL, other industry standards and safety regulationsMonitor system performance and make necessary adjustmentsTrain personnel on the use and operation of control systemsPerform regular system maintenance and updatesIntegrate new technologies into existing systemsParticipate in the commissioning and start-up of new equipmentProvide technical support and expertise to other departments as neededAnalyze data from control systems to improve processes and efficiencyCollaborate with purchasing, vendors, and suppliers for equipment and software purchasesControls Engineer Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (experience in lieu of degree will be considered)Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
