• Build and manage a preventive maintenance program for guest rooms, public areas, outdoor amenities, equipment, and building systems.
• Oversee the upkeep of expansive outdoor spaces, including landscaping, walkways, lighting, irrigation, and recreational areas.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and pool systems.
• Hire, train, schedule, and support the maintenance team, establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Manage contractors and vendors, review proposals, and verify the quality and completion of work.
• Oversee departmental expenses, inventory, purchasing, and project budgets.
• Conduct regular inspections throughout the resort and grounds, addressing recurring issues before they become larger problems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support applicable safety, inspection, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate renovation and improvement projects with minimal disruption to guests and operations.
• Support emergency preparedness and respond to urgent maintenance issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel, resort, or comparable facilities maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Experience maintaining a property with extensive grounds, outdoor amenities, and multiple operational areas.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs, vendors, and budgets.
• A practical, hands-on leadership style with strong communication and follow-through.
• Ability to prioritize competing needs in a busy hospitality environment.
• Relevant trade certifications, EPA certification, and pool operator certification preferred.
• Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency response.
