How you'll make an impact in this role

Mentor the Next Generation: Serve as a premier role model for professionalism, dedicating sufficient time to supervise, teach, and cultivate an exceptional educational environment for residents and students in the clinic setting.

Lead Clinical & Academic Rounds: Actively drive the program's academic mission by participating in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences, while providing learners with real-time verbal and written feedback.

Deliver Scholarly Patient Care: Evaluate and treat a diverse outpatient panel with advanced diagnostic skills, employing an evidence-based, scholarly approach to medicine that improves both individual and population health.

Champion Quality & Resident Well-Being: Pursue continuous faculty development focused on clinical education, quality improvement, patient safety, and fostering the mental and physical well-being of both yourself and the residents.

Partner with Program Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) through annual performance reviews, teaching observations, and proactive communication regarding resident milestones.

Document the Patient Journey: Capture clinical documentation with precision to meet regulatory and insurance standards, modeling meticulous administrative and clinical excellence for future physicians.

Additional Preferences

• Board Certification: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in Internal Medicine and approved by the Program Director.
• Licensure: Eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin state medical license and DEA registration.
• Core Competencies: A demonstrated interest in resident education and a commitment to safe, cost-effective, and patient-centered care are non-negotiable.

What minimum requirements you'll need

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
