Hospital Medicine - Clinical and Research Opportunities

Overview Division of Hospital Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s invites physicians to join a team of over 55 faculty and staff clinicians dedicated to quality improvement, patient‑centered care, and research across two campuses. The division supports roles in General Clinical Practice, Nocturnist Service, Research Faculty, and Med‑Peds Fellowship. Positions & Responsibilities General Clinical Experience Clinicians will provide care for patients with acute and complex medical/surgical conditions, contribute to teaching of medical students and residents, and may lead quality improvement projects. Nocturnist Clinical Provide overnight coverage with reduced shift expectations (~20% less) and increased salary. Opportunity to support long‑term careers, joy‑in‑work, and work‑life balance. Research Faculty Lead hospital‑based pediatric research in areas such as health services, clinical outcomes, implementation science, qualitative methods, comparative effectiveness, or clinical operations research. Primary time devoted to research with expectation of independent funding within 2‑3 years. Med‑Peds Faculty Physicians with internal medicine‑pediatrics training to work on Adult Care team in addition to Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Adult Hospital Medicine teams at the University of Cincinnati. Qualifications MD or DO with Board Eligibility/Certification in Pediatrics. Ability to obtain medical license in the State of Ohio. Additional consideration for those with PHM board eligibility/certification. For Research Faculty: MS in Epidemiology, Clinical Research or related field desirable; experience in health services or outcomes research.
