Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and supporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.-Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.-Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records.-Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.-Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.-Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.-Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.-Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.-Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.-Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.-Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.-Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
