Long Length of Stay/Acute Med Surg RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12 Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30)

The Long Length of Stay/Acute Med Surg RN will work in a unit that accommodates both dementia/autistic and acute patients. The role requires floating between various like units within the skill set. The RN will be responsible for providing care to patients with long lengths of stay and acute medical needs, ensuring high standards of care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, including providing care for long-term patients awaiting placement.
• Implement and coordinate care plans while working closely with medical staff.
• Administer medications and manage medical equipment.
• Provide emotional support and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings regarding patient care plans and progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with a variety of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to dementia, autism, and acute medical conditions is preferred.
