CNC Programmer III

Cnc Programmer IiiCadrex is seeking a CNC Programmer III to utilize CAD/CAM software to program and/or operate conventional, special purpose and numerical control (NC) turret presses and laser machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. This role requires advanced expertise in CNC programming languages, machining techniques, and tooling methods. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality machined parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop CNC programs for machining operations, including milling, turning, drilling, and grindingProgram CNC machines using advanced CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM) to generate complex toolpaths and optimize machining processesOptimize CNC programs for efficiency, accuracy, and surface finish, including tool selection, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategiesConduct simulations and test runs to verify program accuracy, identify potential issues, and optimize machining parametersCollaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to ensure machining processes meet design requirements and quality standardsTroubleshoot and debug CNC programs, machine tooling, and equipment to resolve machining problems and minimize downtimeDevelop and maintain documentation, including CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and process instructionsTrain and mentor junior CNC programmers and machinists on advanced programming techniques, best practices, and safety protocolsStay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in CNC machining and programmingAdhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipmentPreferred Qualifications7+ years of experience programming CNC machines in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on complex machining operations preferredExpertise in CNC programming languages, such as G-code and M-code, and proficiency in CAD/CAM softwareStrong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, materials, and surface finishesAbility to interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and technical specificationsExceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize CNC programsExcellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracyEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsKnowledge of safety regulations and practices related to CNC machining and programmingExperience with multi-axis machining, 5-axis machining, and complex geometries is highly desirableEducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferredExperience/Certifications may be substituted in lieu of degreeLocationOnsiteScheduleM-FWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
