Purchasing Specialist

Purchasing SpecialistOur client, a water technology provider, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a 4 month contract opportunity located in Charlotte, NC. This role hybrid, onsite three days per week. Work schedule can be either 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.Role Description:Responsible for non-engineering procurements, sourcing, updating prices and part numbers in ERP (System: Steev), setting up new vendors, and managing day-to-day vendor and PO tasks.Procures materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures.Develops and implements cost-effective purchasing strategies within the organization.Reviews and evaluates purchase requisitions, recommends process improvements, and oversees change orders.Identifies and develops new sources of supply; prepares and issues bid requests, specifications, formal invitations, and requests for proposals.Analyzes bids, quotes, and proposals; selects and awards vendors for procurement needs; and manages contract administration.Requirements:Requires 1–3 years of relevant experience.Pay Rate- $36.71- $38.02/hour
