Registered Nurse – Med-Surg/PCU

Schedule

12-hour night shifts: 18:45–07:15, every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Assignment length: 13–26 weeks; 36 hours can be offered.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Ventilator experience preferred; the unit will support/train if needed.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and central line care.
• Ability to manage CPAP/BiPAP, care for trachs and chest tubes.
• Familiarity with blood product administration and drips (e.g., dopamine, Cardizem, heparin).
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity unit.
• Monitor patient's vital signs and manage interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding healthcare needs.
• Participate in patient admissions and discharges.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine required (with medical/religious exemptions only). Pre-start modules required, estimated acute care: ~8–10 hours. All RTO must be pre-approved; up to 7 days auto-approved for AYA auto-offer (no holidays).
