Area Sales Manager - Mobile Video (Southeast US)

Department Overview Manages state/local sales directly to end-users of the organization's products or services in a large specified geographic area, or is responsible for a specific industry or product segment on a national or geographic basis. Responsibilities Responsible for leading a sales team within designated region, strategic account planning, and overall relationship management for existing and new customers Align the Mobile Video sales team to the Motorola Solutions' territory teams and key work partners to enhance sales & execution (internal and external partners) Establish a collaborative, energetic and exciting working environment as the leader of the region Hold sales team accountable for achieving/exceeding the Committed View (CV) forecast Utilize strong leadership and communication skills to cast a clear vision to execute the strategy. Provide an environment where changes in market focus, product performance, and customer requirements are communicated and acted upon. Establish an environment of ownership while understanding the business goals for the territory and the individual contributors for achieving those goals. Set go-to-market strategies both with direct and indirect selling resources Generate a long-term, multiple-year sales pipeline and accounts to pursue Create, strengthen, and manage reseller and Motorola manufacturer representative organizations Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the existing customer base Support sales team in negotiating large contracts Resolve complex customer service and satisfaction issues Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience 1+ years of leadership experience preferred Help drive product decisions and support decisions to support our customers existing and future needs Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire "target" account Attract into the organization and develop a diverse pool of future leaders A track record of making or exceeding assigned sales goals Excellent negotiation skills Location / Travel Preferred candidate will reside in one of the following states: AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, NC, SC, GA, FL Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 -$115,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
