Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses. Work Schedule: Full time, Day shift (40hrs per week) with call. We are offering the following shift options: Five/8hr (7am - 3:30pm) or Two/8hr (7am - 3:30pm) & Two/12hr (7am - 7:30pm) shifts per week. Inova Alexandria Hospital is a beautiful 318-bed community hospital located in the city of Alexandria. Our OR is equipped with 11 OR suites and 4 Endoscopy Suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities: * Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships. * Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice. * Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions. * Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues. * Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs. Operating Room Registered Nurse Requirements: * Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse. * Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. * License: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. * Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association. Preferred Experience & Certification: * Experience with the following cases: Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Vascular, Robotics & Trauma

• Circulating and scrubbing experience
• AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion and/or CNOR
