Job Summary and Qualifications

MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will PM, inspect, repair, assemble and installvarious typesof equipment

• Repair electrical beds

• Inspect/repair vertical/horizontal transportation

• Repair pneumatic tube system

• Must be able to recognize and correct conditions which require maintenance work such as conveyors, laundry, and dietary equipment

• PMvarious typesof equipment (exhaust fans, laundry equipment, dietary equipment, battery emergency lights, etc.)

• Diagnose problems and order materials/parts for repairs to equipment

• Willing to help andassistother mechanics/trades as necessary

• Move materials upon request from all departments

• Mustbe accessible for emergency maintenance calls.

• Shallobserve safety rules and regulations at all times.

• Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• High School diploma/GEDorwork experienceequivalent

• Hospital/Commercial experience preferred

• Skill in the use of hand and power tools used in installations, repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds

• Five or more years of experience preferred
