Make a difference as a contract paraprofessional working directly with young adults (ages 18-21+) in a dynamic, inclusive school environment near Littleton, CO. This rewarding full-time role runs from August 11 through May 21, 2027, offering the opportunity to positively impact students’ daily lives while supporting their transition to greater independence.
Ideal candidates will provide skilled behavioral support and successfully manage significant or severe caseloads. You’ll play a crucial role within a team dedicated to empowering students with disabilities, often engaging with those who benefit from communication devices. This position is especially suited to professionals drawn to meaningful one-on-one interactions both in classroom and community settings.
Essential Qualifications & Experiences:
- Proven experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in school environments
- Strong background in behavioral support, including working with significant/severe caseloads
- Experience supporting young adults with disabilities in community-based activities
- Familiarity with communication devices used by students
- Capacity and willingness to assist with toileting and diapering
- Two completed, professional RefAssured references must be provided for consideration
- Reliable transportation and ability to report by 8:00am daily (public transport/taxi/ride -shares not suitable)
- Ability to complete district-mandated fingerprinting immediately after offer acceptance; any felony or misdemeanor charges will disqualify a candidate
