Support young adults on their journey to greater independence in a vital contract paraprofessional role. This opportunity centers on providing essential assistance in a school-based setting, specifically focused on transition services for individuals ages 18-21+ with significant behavioral and developmental needs. The contract runs from August 11 through May 21, 2027, offering 37.5 hours weekly.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Proven expertise in behavior support within educational environments
• Previous involvement handling severe or significant caseloads strongly preferred
• Skill in supporting young adults with disabilities in community settings is highly valued
• Experience using or assisting with communication devices is advantageous
• Ability to assist with personal care, including toileting and diapering, as required
• Must possess reliable personal transportation
• Capable of reporting consistently by 8:00 am each day
• Successful candidates will need to complete fingerprinting promptly after acceptance; candidates with any criminal charges will be disqualified
• Two completed Professional RefAssured references are strictly required for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support transition-aged students by promoting daily living and vocational skills
• Implement individualized behavior plans under supervision of educators and therapists
• Encourage communication and facilitate use of adaptive devices
• Provide guidance within classrooms and in community settings
• Assist with daily care, mobility, and inclusion activities as needed
