Details General Emergency Department serving combined Adult/Pediatric population Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:30-7:00) with option of 36 or 48 hours per week Requires at least 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule Patient ratio of 1:5 Epic charting system preferred Floating to like units within scope required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC 2 years of ED experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Center, teaching hospital, community hospital, or LTAC setting preferred Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients Experience interpreting ABGs and dysrhythmias, and administering continuous IV sedation and vasopressors Experience in triage and isolation precautions/PPE Additional Information Provide emergency care across a range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, pediatric, and orthopedic cases Facility is STEMI and Stroke certified First-time travelers are welcome to apply No travel pairs or groups accepted Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler Up to 3-4 days of RTO may be auto-approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation Traveler expected to complete labs within 48 business hours of contract signing Onsite orientation includes completion of required training modules American Traveler Job ID P-749630.
