About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Director for Life and Health Reinsurance Contracts in North America. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the Contracts function, ensuring contract governance, drafting standards, negotiation consistency, and contractual risk management across a diverse portfolio of traditional reinsurance agreements. This leadership role involves close collaboration with underwriting, legal, pricing, claims, portfolio management, and risk teams to guarantee that contracts align with commercial intent, support disciplined risk management, and contribute to long-term portfolio performance. The Senior Director will also spearhead modernization initiatives, including workflow optimization and the integration of AI-enabled contracting tools. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' experience in life and health insurance or reinsurance contracting, a law degree, and a proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex reinsurance agreements. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and accountable leader with strong decision-making skills, a collaborative business partner capable of influencing senior stakeholders, and passionate about talent development and driving operational excellence. Key responsibilities for this role include leading the North American Contracts function, advising on contractual risk, and driving digital transformation in contract management.
