Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required if performing fluoroscopy
• Venipuncture certification: Required if performing venipuncture
• At least two years recent experience in field

Responsibilities

• Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes.
• Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care for diverse age groups.
• Produces reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains accurate patient records and ensures the integrity of medical images and data.
• Conducts routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment.
• Follows all regulations regarding patient confidentiality and safety.
