Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Behavioral Health Adult C Unit

Position Details Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Worker Type: Regular. Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America). Pay Range: $24.50 – $33.75 per hour (actual rate dependent on experience). Position Highlights This position may be eligible for a Sign On Bonus. Professional Summary The Adult C Unit is a 26-bed structured therapeutic environment for adults to learn to understand their diagnosis, develop a Crisis Response Plan, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals. Nurses on this unit enjoy patient focused care with a dedicated team, working with adults experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders, and Suicidal behavior. Responsibilities Collect data and conduct a focused nursing assessment of the patient’s health status. Participate with other health care providers in the development and modification of the patient-centered health care plan. Implement nursing interventions within the patient-centered health care plan. Assist in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Provide for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Advocate for the best interest of the patient. Communicate and collaborate with patients and members of the health care team. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Essential Qualifications Ability to work the hours specified. Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties. Effective communication, hearing, and understanding of speech and other sounds. Required Education, License, Certification, or Work Experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing license in the state of practice, active license upon hire.
