Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

License: Registered Nurse license
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred
Must-Have: General Emergency Department skillset, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, IV starts, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation


Description:
Join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department.
We operate with 43 beds and an average census of 145 patients per day.
Our patient population includes pediatric to geriatric individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including respiratory illness, stroke, and behavioral health issues.
The admission rate is 25-30%.
Patient ratios are RN 1:3-4, based on acuity.
Certified Nursing Assistants will serve as unit coordinators and assist RNs with patient care.
Support within the department includes paramedics, charge nurses, patient safety attendants, and dedicated pharmacists.
Our team is available 24/7, including hospitalists and intensivists.
We utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and offer advanced technology such as Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing.
Floating may be required based on regional needs, while remaining within the scope of practice.
