This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation position. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

• Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
• Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
• Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
• Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
• Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist: Degree:

Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes conducting mental health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This position requires a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
