Full Time Custodian

Facility Maintenance

Provides a clean and sanitary work environment. Cleans the building, maintains floors, stocks cleaning supplies, and ensures the general appearance of the facility meets with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled housekeeping tasks in common use areas of the facility. Cleans restroom fixtures, counters, mirrors, windows, tables, and floors; replenishes consumable paper goods, proper collection and disposing of trash; and dusts. Completes assigned work orders for non-repetitive custodial tasks.
• Maintains overall appearance of floor surfaces throughout the facility. Dusts, mops, washes, and burnishes floors, and vacuums carpeted floors as scheduled. Performs occasional floor restoration projects requiring stripping existing floor wax and applying new floor wax.
• Provides approved cleaning supplies to various departments. Performs or assists in the completion of special projects in support of the business needs. Responds to request for assistance with spills or other incidents to minimize and eliminate any slip hazards that may be present.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and proper usage of cleaning solutions and chemical dilution systems.
• Experience in floor maintenance and restorations.
• Ability to work safely at all times and be aware of potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Individual must be self-motivated.
• Excellent follow-through with verbal or written communication.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required in support of the business.
• Multi-task and prioritize work to meet the needs of the business.
• Detail-orientated and perform work in a safe manner.
• Work independently and with minimal or with no direct supervision.
• 0+ years of experience in a Distribution Center or similar environment.
• Trained in proper handling of blood borne pathogen.
• Hands on experience running floor scrubbers, floor burnishing equipment, commercial vacuums, and carpet extractors.
• Custodial experience working in a distribution center, school, or commercial environment
