A Director of Social Services is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Community and as may be directed by the Executive Director to ensure the highest degree of quality resident social services is maintained. Is committed to the values and ethics of the social work profession with emphasis on resident empowerment and self-determination. Advances the value that the resident comes first. - Degree in Social Work.
- Licensed Social Worker LBSW from an accredited college or university.
- 3 years social service work experience, desired.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- Communication skills as follows: * Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. * Must have the ability to deal tactfully with potential residents, visitors, and the public.
- Must function independently when necessary, demonstrating flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, staff and support agencies.
- Must be able to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs and objectives to provide an exceptional service to our residents.
