Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): PRN

Overview Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., is located in Shippensburg, PA. We are a 112-bed behavioral health facility providing acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults and an adolescent inpatient program for youth ages 13-17. We also operate outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. We are seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for per diem positions. Position Per Diem LPN – 12 shifts/month Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit in line with Roxbury Treatment Center’s philosophy. Accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and promote professional nursing practice under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing. Monitor and document patient condition and interventions, reporting findings to the unit Charge Nurse/RN. Monitor nursing and clinical care plans and participate in treatment team meetings as needed. Provide supportive counseling and patient education. Facilitate medication administration activities following safe medication practices, including patient education. Respond to all crisis or emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program. One year of prior experience in drug and alcohol or mental health nursing preferred but not required. Current licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse. Benefits Challenging and rewarding work environment.
